its does not fill the role intended for it and therefore needs a buff. Right now the ISU is unusable due to its low armor and AP. While it will never be a Massive Tank destroyer or a totally awesom AI it is in the context of this game supposed to be decent at both. Chem cat! The ISU should be decent at both AT and AI. If anything a damage buff would make more sense then making it better at the role its not really meant for. Gets to wreck infantry, light vehicles, and buildings. ISU in this game is pretty much the soviet Sturmtiger/AVRE. Why would JT get an AI buff if an ISU gets an AT buff when it STILL is better at AT, is STILL more survivable and is STILL cheaper after the fact? It's not a case of ISU becoming better at AT, it's a case of it being very poor at it right now.Īgain going back to what each does best. When you start bouncing off a panzer IV regularly than it needs a pen buff. Versatility.īouncing off the Panther makes sense since it's meant to be well armored. ISU: Gets machine gun, and the ability to switch between AP and HE. Slow reload and can be decrewed during it.ĪVRE: Faster firing, but less able against tanks Sturmtiger: can devastate pretty much anything. Just like the AVRE it fills the same role but differently. I didn't say it was a sturmtigerjist that it's the Soviet equivalent. Sure, it's better against infantry but it doesn't justify bouncing shots off a 175 fuel vehicle. It onyl does 240 damage per shot with a 10 second reload with less penetration thana a Firefly for the cost of 260 fuel. If it's a Sturmtiger, why doesn't it oneshot mediums? A panther would barely be able to survive a single shot from a Sturmtiger, yet an ISU shot can bounce off it harmlessly doing nothing at all.
