It was made in Klingenthal which was part of France, but seized by Germany from 1870 to 1918.

There are very minimal nicks more felt than seen and the blade was period sharpened. The blade is full length and in excellent condition with original polish. Has really nice standout CSA letters and Nashville Plow Works Cast. The guard and back strap have a deep aged patina and the original wrap and wire are mostly intact. This sword should be published in a book and and would be a center piece in any Museum or Confederate Collection.
